As of 29.10.2025 there are new sections on Sofia–Varna and Ruse–Veliko Tarnovo routes. Mixed urban/rural segments make calculating average speed without tools difficult – see the list and use TollTracker for calm trips.
New active average speed section: Sopot – Golets. Length 17.9 km, estimated time 13 min, target average speed 83 km/h (cars/motorcycles) and 75 km/h (buses/trucks). Check all locations on the interactive map.
How is average speed calculated for mixed sections? We show step by step with a real example: Polski Trambesh–Polikrayshe. Final result: ≈76.6 km/h for cars and ≈70.7 km/h for trucks.
